How to file Form 941 and the 2026 due dates
Form 941 is the employer’s quarterly federal tax return for income tax withheld and for Social Security and Medicare taxes. HR360 TechX does not file it.
2026 due dates
IRS instructions for Form 941 say the return is due by the last day of the month that follows the end of the quarter:
- January–March, quarter ends March 31, file by April 30.
- April–June, quarter ends June 30, file by July 31.
- July–September, quarter ends September 30, file by October 31.
- October–December, quarter ends December 31, file by January 31.
If you deposited all taxes for the quarter on time and in full, the IRS gives you until the 10th day of the second month after the quarter ends. That is May 10, August 10, November 10, or February 10. If the due date falls on a Saturday, Sunday, or legal holiday, you may file on the next business day.
